Vehicle Fire - Greece, NY 12/22/11
December 22, 2011 - North Greece Firefighters were dispatched to a reported vehicle fire about 10 ft. from the structure on White Swan Dr. this afternoon. While responding, the assignment was upgraded due to subsequent calls reporting the possible building fire. The vehicle was fully involved on arrival and while the fire was not impinging on the structure, it was burning hot enough to melt the vinyl siding on two adjacent townhouses. The fire was extinguished and the damaged siding was removed to check for extension. The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Monroe County Sheriff's Office.
