August 12, 2009 - Gates firefighters responded for a stove on fire at a senior housing complex. Firefighters reported smoke from the rear of the building and immediately began evacuating residents while bringing water to the fire. Assisting at the scene were firefighters from the Ridge Road Fire District. The fire was quickly extinguished and held to the room of origin. Several residents were helped from the structure with 3 reportedly treated by Gates Ambulance.
