on July 9, 2012Well done, Mike. Documentary images like these serve to not only educate and record, but to honour and pay respect to both those who put their lives on the line and the victims of tragedy. Keep up the good work.

on July 8, 2012I agree with post three and four. These are great pictures of men and women saving lives. They should be in a book and/or framed and hung at the firestation or town hall. These photos are about what America does right. There are always those who have to put down everything. Forget that type. The firefighters in action are more important and are the people we should thank and be proud of despite the negative Nancys. We can't let them bring the best of us down.
firemans wife
on July 7, 2012The woman who commented is ignorant. My husband is a Gate's volunteer fireman and risks his life every time some kid plays with a lighter or someone forgets to turn off their oven. These photographs depict the heroes who save lives while risking their own. I would buy them and hang them with pride on my wall. They are gorgeous and honor our firefighters.
