Building Fire - Gates, NY 7/22/12
July 22, 2012 - Gates firefighters were dispatched for a possible building fire on Scottsville Rd. around 10:45 tonight. The caller was reporting smoke from the structure, which was confirmed by the first arriving piece of equipment. A working fire was declared for smoke and flames from the rear of the former Stacey's Camper Rental, which has been vacant for several months. The fire was knocked down and declared under control in about a half an hour. Engine 7 from the Rochester Fire Department responded mutual aid to the scene while other suburban departments responded to cover the Gates fire stations. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
