Search & Rescue Operation - Chili, NY 1/31/15
January 31, 2015 - Firefighters from the Clifton FD were toned out for the child calling for help from a trail in Black Creek Park just before 11:30a.m. Rescue 4418 responded to the West entrance of the park with 4426, the off-road rescue vehicle. A command and staging area was established in the parking lot while 4426 searched the trails. The NY State Police Aviation unit, based nearby at the Greater Rochester International Airport, eventually was requested to help search the 1,505-acre park from the air.
After a nearly 90-minute search with no further signs of any trouble, the operation was declared a good intent call and placed back in service with nothing found.
