The Greater Rochester International Airport (ROC) conducted it's tri-annual disaster drill on September 15, 2012. The drill simulated a large airplane crash with multiple victims on the airport and was designed to test the response capabilities of the public safety agencies in and around Rochester, as well as the local hospitals. The drill is required by the FAA in order to prepare airports and their response agencies for an actual aircraft accident.
