Rochester, NY firefighters operate at the scene of a 2-alarm fire in West Brighton. After being dispatched for smoke from the apartment building, Engine 8 arrived and reported smoke from the building with a fire in the walls. A second alarm was eventually struck due to the possibility of the fire running through void spaces and spreading to the rest of the structure. Four apartments were directly affected by the fire, while others likely suffered smoke and water damage. One firefighter was transported to the hospital with a minor injury. The fire was placed under control in about an hour and the cause is under investigation.
