March 16, 2013 - The 36th annual Rochester St. Patrick's Day parade took place amidst some bitterly cold temperatures and a bit of snow this year. In spite of the weather there was a decent turnout for the festivities. I haven’t heard any estimates on the number of spectators but the sidewalks were fairly full along most of the parade route. Afterwards, many people went to the parade headquarters at the Radisson Riverside Hotel to continue the celebration. Some of the pipes and drums units that marched in the parade continued the show inside the hotel lobby and conference rooms, along with the occasional performance in the hotel bar.
