Members of the Gates, NY Police and Fire Departments took part in a charity softball game on July 27, 2012. The purpose of the event was to benefit the family of Ret. Gates Police Officer Sonny Chung. Officer Chung was medically retired after being involved in a vehicle crash while responding to a call in 2002. Tragically, he was involved in a second accident in early 2012 that claimed his life.
