Balding Brothers For Andy Fundraiser
March 30, 2013 - Members of the emergency services community and beyond came together to support a brother who is battling cancer by shaving their heads and raising money at Gates Fire Dept. Company 2. Andy Jennings is a supervisor at the Monroe County Emergency Communications Department (911 Center) and member of the Penfield Fire Department who was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 Adenocarcinoma (non-smoker's lung cancer). He is currently undergoing chemotherapy and other treatments to beat this disease and those who know him are trying to help out however they can. What started with a few friends shaving their heads as a show of support turned into a fundraiser that raised over $4500!
One of Andy's biggest supporters in this fight is a young boy from Hamburg, NY who never knew him until hearing his story. Anthony just turned 10 years old but has raised a "ridiculous" amount of money (I don't know the actual amount) for Andy and his family and traveled the approximately 80 miles to shave his head at this event! Anthony can be seen with a giant smile in photos #22 and 23.
I have removed the watermark and right-click protection from this gallery so these photos can be copied and shared easily. That being said, if anyone purchases any of the photos or products available from this gallery through my site, 100% of the proceeds will be donated to Andy Jennings and his family.
