Sherer St

Rochester firefighters responded to Sherer St. for another reported fire in the building. Truck 5 was on location with smoke in the area, and confirmed a fire inside of the old American Laundry Machine Company, which has been the site of numerous blazes in the past. The fire was initially fought from the outside only though firefighters did move inside once the large pile of rubbish was knocked down. It was under control within 30 minutes and other than some minor extension to the roof was largely kept to its area of origin. The cause of the fire is under investigation and is likely considered suspicious.
